In order to make basic information on veterinary medicinal products (VMPs) available to professionals and the general public, the INSTITUTE FOR STATE CONTROL OF VETERINARY BIOLOGICALS AND MEDICINES (ISCVBM) publishes current selected information on veterinary medicinal products through the “Currently authorised veterinary medicinal products” pages (here), which are part of its web portal www.uskvbl.cz, and through the “Veterinární léčivé přípravky” (Veterinary Medicinal Products) mobile applications for Android and iOS, distributed via the official Google Play (here) and Apple App Store.

The form of information on veterinary medicinal products published within the VMP applications is governed by Act No. 99/2019 Coll., on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications and on Amendments to Act No. 365/2000 Coll., on Public Administration Information Systems and on Amendments to Certain Other Acts, as amended.

Information on veterinary medicinal products is provided within the VMP applications through forms containing the main product data, and through attached SPC and package leaflet documents. Exceptionally, SPC or package leaflet documents may not be available for some products for historical reasons related to the origin of the data (this is not an application error). Displaying information in the mobile application forms may be subject to certain limitations arising from their specific presentation on mobile devices; in such a case, the user may view the information on the website mentioned above and use all standard functions provided by web browsers, or look the information up in the SPC and package leaflet documents.

SPC and package leaflet documents are published in PDF or DOC (DOCX) format, and displaying them requires properly installed third-party software capable of displaying these formats, e.g. from Adobe or Microsoft. For the files to be displayed correctly, the viewing software must be properly configured (opening files of these types must be set up in that software). Details on the required applications and their installation and configuration for the individual platforms can be found on their manufacturers' websites. Free viewing software exists for all of these formats on all of the platforms mentioned above. The way these applications are launched and display documents is entirely within the competence of their manufacturers, and the VMP application cannot influence it in any way.

This accessibility statement of the VMP application may be updated. Any changes to the statement will be published on this website. All changes take effect immediately upon publication.

This accessibility statement applies to the “Veterinární léčivé přípravky” (VMP) mobile applications for Android and iOS.

Compliance status

The VMP mobile applications are partially compliant with Act No. 99/2019 Coll., on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications and on Amendments to Act No. 365/2000 Coll., on Public Administration Information Systems and on Amendments to Certain Other Acts, as amended, and with the harmonised standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03), due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible due to non-compliance with Act No. 99/2019 Coll.:

  • Summary of product characteristics (SPC) and package leaflet documents in PDF or DOC (DOCX) format, made available through the VMP applications, may not be fully accessible to assistive technologies such as screen readers (missing document structure; in older documents possibly a missing text layer).
  • Displaying information in the mobile application forms may be subject to limitations arising from presentation on mobile devices. The same information is available on the “Currently authorised veterinary medicinal products” pages of the www.uskvbl.cz portal.

Upon request, we will provide the content of these documents in an accessible form; see Feedback and contact information.
